Welcome to the how-to transfer characters guide. Transferring is a mechanic in Kwillians allowing you to transfer outside characters from other ARPG's or Art Groups. This guide will go over what types of characters you can transfer, how to transfer a character, the rules for transferring, and more.
There is a small caveat to know before getting ready to transfer any characters into the group, that being that transfers are not free. You do not start with any free transfer slots and must purchase a Transfer Gem from the shop, trade for one, or the free option of course. It's always possible to earn transfer gems from a raffle, or roll the item randomly from any random item events.
You may be wondering why there's no free transfers, and the answer is quite simple; we don't want the group to be comprised of mostly transfers, and it's unfair. Allowing users to freely transfer in their characters from other groups and get an immediate head start can cause jealousy or a sense of unfairness that all of us in Kwillian would like to avoid. It's also important to note that rare upgrades and many other limited things in the group can be gained via transfers, and those aren't things we want everyone running around with.
Let's look at what you'll need to transfer a character into the group, such as what you'll need, how old the character must be, and the like!
Unless using an item that allows you to choose an differnet alignment when posting an approval, all Transfers by default have access to the same alignment as MYOS. The basic five alignments MYOs can be are Fire, Water, Air, Earth, or Purity.
Transfers may keep their tier of learned magic if previously learned through a learning or trial system. All you need to keep your character's tier of magic is to provide proof of completing their magic in the way of a masterlist and proof it was learned through a system instead of being innate magic.
*If the Character you're transferring in has a near exact match to a non-tainted secondary magic, you can request a template with the secondary they possess on it to allow you to transfer in a secondary element.
Transfers have a bit of rules and restrictions that apply to them! Make sure to read the following portion of the guide closely, and if you have a questions such as "Can I transfer X in" or "Is X Upgrade Legal" on a transfer, this guide has answers!
Transferrable
Non-Transferrable
If you have proof of purchasing the upgrade in another group for YCH Upgrades, or proof of earning it via an event involving art prompts similar to Kwillian events for Event Upgrades, you can keep the upgrade as long as that proof is provided! This inculdes all YCH & Event Upgrades.
Now that you know the rules for transfer approvals, you can draw them and get them ready to get approved. Before you hop right into this though, let's take a look at some transfer examples to help you visualize what is and isn't allowed on a transfer. One good one, and one bad one.
This Transfer example is a good example of a bad transfer.
The transferred Kwillian does not resemble the original character in any way, lacking the same color palette and with upgrades that the original character doesn't have.
While the wings being a different type and placements being different are okay, the rest isn't!
This Transfer example is a good example of a good transfer.
The transferred Kwillian and original character are easily recognized as the same despite the changes that have been made. Their color palettes are similar and they only have a total of seven transferable adult upgrades.
This would mean they're good to go and ready to be submitted for approval!
Now that you've drawn your transfer and have it all ready, you'll have to upload it to Deviantart or Toyhou.se and add the needed information. Let's take a look at what you need to include in the description of a Deviation or in a forum post on the groups Toyhou.se world for Transfer Approvals! Then you're ready to just wait until a staff member gets to your approval.
