Glyphith

One of the most notorious towns, Glyphith is home to the Glyphith Hunters Guild, The Last Hop Orphanage, and current residence of the noble-blooded Mayor Victor Everwhite. With such a prestigious Mayor and well known (not to mention trustworthy) Orphanage, it's no surprise many of the Empires neglected or unable to be cared for young from the countryside and all over end up in this town.

The town has other sights to see, such as Bit's and Bobble's; a shop for all of your needs. The Darkforge near the center of town, home to, as far as anyone knows, the only Dweller in Glyphith or the surrounding area. Every location from the Clinic where the talented doctor seems to be able to cure just about anything to the Crystal Glass where you can grab something strong to drink, Glyphith is quite the sight to see!

Glyphith's real claim to fame and what earned them their classificationas a mining farming town are actually the several mines in the forest hills and Craglands around the town. Alongside the rolling fields of green along the edges inside of the towns large protective bubble.

The town has the Whispering Woods on one side, a dangerous forest where outlaws and dangerous creatures lurk. It's unadvisable to head into the woods alone, or at all if you happen to be a Kwilling. Many have tried to pass through the woods and lost their lives from what lurks between the twisting tree trunks. On the other side of Glyphith lies the Craglands that house the Quarry Fields and deep mines. A wasteland of rock with nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, watch out for the creature that lurk below the surface.

The Last Hop Orphanage

The well-known Orphanage of Glyphith, where even the most difficult of Kwillings with the most explosive personalities is given one on one attention and treated the same as every other in the Orphanage.

The Orphanage itself is quite the building, large in order to fit all of the children that come in and to house the newly grown adults, or a traveler for a night who can't afford a room at the pub. Each children's room holds four bunk beds, a bookshelf, and drawers connected to the beds for children to store their personal effects in. Adult rooms hold four single beds, with not enough room for them not to share, but also includes more walking room for the much larger Kwillian, more storage space, and a writing desk for all adult needs.

Nina prides herself in taking in children deemed difficult or unwanted, showing them what it's like to have a mother's love and someone with unending patience to help soothe their anger and fears. Aiding her is her youngest son Niko, helping calm fussy Kwillians and chase down rowdy kids where his older mother can't.

Notable Residents

Bits and Bobbles

Bit's and Bobble's; the one-stop-shop for anything you might need in well- ever! Owned by Brother and Sister duo, Bit and Bobble. The building is quite interesting from the outside, since the bickering siblings couldn't quite decide on a single look for the sign, it almost looks like someone sawed two signs in half and nailed them back together! The interior is quite the same, one side holding Bit's wares and the counter the Sister of the duo can often be found at, and the other side holding Bobble's, with of course a counter for him too!

Wondering what's sold? Well, it's quite the array- and really it depends on which sibling you ask! Looking for a handmade silk cloak, all the way from Tarvia? Perhaps some jewelry, or items of the enchanted variety? Talk to Bobble! Or, maybe, you're looking for some sturdy kettles and pots? Sword, Axes, Armor? Oh, what about this adventurer's backpack, able to hold all your things? You'll want to grab Bit.

Despite their bickering, you can bet that each sibling will suggest you buy something from the other side too, just in case you need it of course!

The Glyphith Hunters Guild

Notable Residents

An imposing building with no front windows, located on the outskirts of Glyphith. It includes a bell tower to ring in warning in the case something ever made it through the barrier, and sour-faced Kwillian often stand guard outside. Despite this, when entered, the building itself has a surprisingly warm atmosphere. Even with the imposing Maxwell often manning the front desk stood in front of a cluster of postings for help, the interior can be described as comfy and welcoming. After all, this is the place where Kwillian can go to receive odd jobs of any variety!

The fireplace is rarely cold, almost always having a fire going with Kwillian gathered around it in the seating area. Most will never see what lies beyond, but behind the entrance where contracted Hunters receive jobs lies the inner workings of the Guild.

Rooms for the Guild's Hunters, a Kitchen, Dining hall, and Training Yard all hide within the walls. Intruding on the inner sanctum of The Guild is not a good idea, not when all the inhabitants are armed to the teeth and Maxwell isn't exactly known for his forgiving or loving personality...

The Clinic

Notable Residents

Sat near the center of town, The Clinic is smaller than most of the more notable buildings. Consisting of the entrance room where the medic, Jackson, can often be found, several private clinic rooms for those getting quick checkups or needing to be quarantined, as well as an upstairs sick and injury ward where those with general ailments that aren't highly contagious or injuries are housed and where their care is administered.

Hidden at the top of the Clinic is Jackson's personal room where the medic sleeps. Well, where the Medic would sleep if he ever had the time. The Clinic is often busy, full of the ill from out of town, from the nearby quarry, not to mention that often among the ill are hunters who have been injured in their hunts outside of Glyphith.

Mildreds Pet Emporium

The Pet Emporium, where the eccentric and anti-social Mildred offers some of her pets for sale. Typically bred by Mildred herself, or brought in on caravans from Preliven or Tarvia, the pets at her Emporium are nothing more than the best of the best. The Building is near the center of town, connected to a large enclosed greenhouse-like structure that houses her pets that she has for sale.

The front building where sales happen is often hectic and in disarray. With Venberra racing around, Moppet's flapping overhead, and sometimes even a Cravic or two napping under tables, it's quite the place! Mildred doesn't seem to mind the chaos, not when it's caused by pets at least! Mildred is rarely seen without one of her prized pets she personally owns, her adorable green and pink Veneberra Little Vine, or her shy leg hugger Cravic, Lilly!

Notable Residents

The Darkforge

Located near the center of town, the Dark Forge seems rather unassuming from the outside. Consisting of a small outside forge as well as a large stone building, you wouldn't think anything was different between this blacksmith and any other- until you enter the building itself.

The building is shrouded in darkness, the only light coming from the inside forges and the glowing vents of the Dweller Kwillian who owns the forge itself. Wracks of tools, troughs for dunking metalwork, forges along the walls, and a massive anvil in the center of the room built to fit the Kwillian who works on it.

Crush rarely leaves their forge, however that doesn't mean they don't like company. In fact, the Dweller is more than happy to help those with the Fire Affinity learn more about their abilities- after all, it's the perfect environment! Hot, and, wow it's actually really hot, and… oh Leht it's too hot in here!

Notable Residents

The Crystal Glass

Notable Residents

The pub of Glyphith, The Crystal Glass is the place to go if you need a strong drink, to rent a room for the night, or if you're in a sociable mood! From residents of Glyphith, an adventurer from another town or city in the Empire, to even those hailing all the way from West Halbor. The Crystal Glass has quite a range of patrons, and it's usually easy to pick out whom to talk to.

Loud and boisterous Kwillian soaking up the attention they receive? They'll probably want to chat more than the broody adventurer in the corner missing an eye- but who knows, maybe that adventurer has more interesting stories to share. Just make sure you don't get into a fight or try and persuade a drunk patron to do something for you, or else you'll find yourself tossed onto the street by the owner.

Or beaten black and blue by some of the more regular patrons.

The Everwhite Estate

Not much is known about the estate or the manor that sits on its grounds, but what can be seen from outside the walls really is impressive! The Manor, standing at three stories tall and belonging to the Mayor, Victor Everwhite. The Estate has an impressive garden, with exotic well kept flowers and green grass growing, making it a luxury only someone as rich a member of the Everwhite family could afford.

Tall stone walls surround the entire estate, with the two entrances manned by the Everwhite Private Guards at all times, keeping out any unwanted guests. Whiskey, Victor's prized and beloved pet Venberra can often be seen sat upon the walls, staring judgingly at any Kwillian who walk by. Any Kwillian who's tried to get over the wall whether by climbing or flight will tell you- that little creatures a snitch! If Whiskey see's you, they're bound to galavant off and grab a guard to make sure you don't get far.

The Manor of the estate has an estimated thirty bed/study rooms, and god-knows how many bathrooms. Staffed by well-paid servants and protected by the Everwhite Noble Family's very own personal guard, nobody who Victor Everwhite doesn't want getting in gets in; so it's a good thing that the Mayor is quite the open guy!
